What are the "Good" canned food brands?

I have my new cat eating Before Grain, but they don't sell it in bulk at the local pet store. I was wondering what the other low/no corn/soy/byproduct cat foods were?

Off the top of my head I can remember blue buffalo, wellness, innova, before grain... were there any others?

I'm looking for the cat food companies that actually GRASP that cats shouldn't have massive amounts of plant fillers and the junk ends of animals. If any of you have a list from most acceptable to least (... or most acceptable and pocket friendly) that'd be GREATLY appreciated.

Before Grain is a very good brand of canned food but not that because it ONLY contains one ingredient - chicken, quail, beef, whichever one you buy - it doesn't really provide the nutrition a cat needs (added Taurine, bone meal, etc). Their site even states that it should be a "supplemental food". So you can feed him that food but do be sure to feed others as well. I received a few cans of the Quail at a recent cat show and my cats LOVED it.

All the brands you mentioned are really good ones. One thing I like to look for are foods that contain human-grade ingredients and are packaged in either human-grade food factories or in the States. None of these brands were involved in the horrible tainted foods that killed so many people's pets - since they're not using inferior ingredients from overseas. Foods like this include Merricks, Tiki Cat and Weruva. Weruva's a particularly palatable one my cats just LOVE. Their "Paw Lickin' Chicken" has them practically eating the plates its put on LOL

Sadly besides Blue Buffalo (which incidentally, my cats wouldn't touch) you can't find any of these better quality foods at the big pet stores like PetSmart. But check the manufacturer's website and it'll let you know which stores do have them. Are you in an area or not far from an area with farms? Farm and feed stores often carry these better brands. And often for better prices than the retail pet stores. I buy all the brands I mentioned at a farm/feed store just East of me in Monroe, WA and the cans are all at least 10 to 20 cents less per can.
