Cinch Girth
What length Stirrup Leathers would i need?
I'm a 5' 4" girl, who is getting an English Saddle, but would need to get separate leathers. Also, it would be better if they were black, so if you have a place in mind tell me. Also, just as a throw in, is there a difference between cinch and girth length? and how much of a difference to calculate?
I'm 5'3" and use 48" leathers. I've gotten longer ones before and ended up cutting off the extra because it was just too long.
English girths are considerably longer than western cinches. I don't think there is a conversion because the length of the parts they attach to will vary from saddle to saddle. Your girth should fit at about the middle holes on both sides, so if you have a saddle already, you could measure the distance from middle to middle (or maybe a hole down from middle since you'll be tightening the girth).
