Polo Wraps?
Never in my 30 years of horses have i used polo wraps. Simply because i was old fashioned and didnt give a hoot.
Now i have gotten advice that i should use them. I really dont want to spend $80 a pair on smb boots. So i found some emergency ones i had laying around and put them on my horse. I wrapped around the fetlock etc, and pulled tight. My trainer says they will do him good because of the frozen ground underneath the dirt in the ring. Will these help more, than without them?
it will help for support, and if they trip and fall they are less likely to pull something there because of the pressure and added support. BUT make sure if you are using polo's you wrap them properly and the right way, because if you dont you will defenatly do damage rather than helping. tip: when you are wraping, your velcro should end up on the top pointing towards the rear. ("tendons in")They should be snug, not loose or they will come undone, and your horse will get tangles. not to tight because that will harm your horse in many ways. you probably already know this but what the heck lol good luck
