How long does it take to break in new Leather Field boots?
Well, I have been wearing them at home and at the barn every day. I just bought them a week ago, and I started wearing them yesterday. I rode in them yesterday and today, and luckily I only have sores on the back side of my knee. How long will it take me to break them in? I have a show on March 26-29. They are Valentini Semi-Custom Leather Field Boots.
i break in my boots by wearing them around the house and barn, obviously, but also at night rubberband them. i know this sounds weird, but it works: ok, fold the boot at the ankle, like it would be if you were riding and your heels were down, toes up. then put a bunch of rubberbands to hold the toe close to the boot and keep it folded like that. you might have to do it a couple times, but it will help get the ankle broken in for when you ride. also, you can put pre-wrap (this stuff http://www.soccerpro.com/images/92075l_prewrap.jpg )
around your knee so that you don't get sores on the back.
