What's a popularly recognized term for men's dress shoe?
Examples:

I'm writing a book, hate loafers and gators, I want the main dude to be wearing some sharp shoes but, as an overly casual dresser myself, I have no idea what some popular men's shoe terms may be.
Your answer could help to elevate my style...

Oxford - a lace up dress shoe
Blücher - the laces are attached to two pieces of leather independently attached to the vamp.
balmoral - the vamp has a V shaped slit to which the laces are attached
wing-tip - The toe of the shoe is covered with a perforated panel, the wing-tip, which extends down either side of the shoe.
