Gatsby Ladies

Great Gatsby Essay Question HELP?
The topic is how a character from the novel, THE GREAT GATSBY, reflects the immoralities of 1920's.
I am doing Jay Gatsby and I am talking about how he represents the people of the Nouveau Rich. My three points of my 5 paragaph essay is:
-His practices in illegal activities
- THrowing elegant parties
-taking a lady (Daisy) away from her marriage, engaging in an affair
I need QUOTES and some points for the essay. If anyone can help me, please help me. I am trying to get a very good grade on this essay.
THANKS!
Well, I see your point, but if I was writing this essay, I wouldn't choose Gatsby. I would choose Jordan, Tom, or Daisy. Gatsby is not so much immoral, he just does immoral things because he is a victim of his blind pursuit of Daisy. Jordan is a plain hypocrite (this isn't the exact quote but it's something like this: "I hate careless people...I can be a careless driver as long as everyone else is careful. It takes two to make an accident."), Tom is a male chauvinistic misogynist, and Daisy is completely selfish for letting Gatsby take the blame for Mrs. Wilson's death. I would highly advise choosing a different character. But if you must do Gatsby, then here are some tips and quotes.
-In his mindless pursuit of Daisy, Gatsby practices illegal activities such as selling alcohol during the prohibition.
-He throws extravagant parties to impress Daisy with materialistic things rather than by his piety (which a moral person would do.)
-He has an affair with Daisy when he knows she is already married.
- "Can’t repeat the past?…Why of course you can!"
-"See!" he cried triumphantly. "It's a bona-fide piece of printed matter. It fooled me. This fella's a regular Belasco. It's a triumph. What thoroughness! What realism! Knew when to stop, too — didn't cut the pages. But what do you want? What do you expect?" (Man in the library--this shows Gatsby's ignorance of knowledge and blindness in impressing Daisy with a deceivingly intellectual facade)
-"The truth was that Jay Gatsby…sprang from his Platonic conception of himself."
If you change the character and need help, or if if you just need any other help with Gatsby, feel free to email me at meresmithy@yahoo.com. I'm a Gatsby fanatic!
Good Luck!
