Did anyone else think the term was "getting down to brass taxes?"?
I recently found out today that the term is "brass tacks." I used to think it was "brass taxes" and people were just using the singular (tax). Sigh this takes me back to when I was heart broken to discover "intensive purposes" was "intense and purposes."
Are there any words or phrases that you discovered you were saying or thinking wrong?
Haha. I always thought the phrase "don't agg him on" was "don't egg him on". I said it that way until I was 22! I still do actually, it sounds better. Haha.
