Medium Tree
I'm having my yard landscaped and am looking for a beautiful small to medium tree to plant. I live in Maine.
I'm looking for something that looks the best the longest, works well with Maine's climate, and is about 6 feet tall, give or take. Any ideas?
The part of Maine you live in will determine what will survive your winters. Northern Maine is in zone 3 while along the coast are areas of zone 5.
Dwarf Japanese Maples are lovely but won't survive in Maine, Zone 6-9. Dwarf Alberta spruce and Eastern Redbud would also do well. Niagra Holly and several other Holly's will grow in zone 4-9.
I would suggest that you take a trip to a local nursery and see what they would advise.
