Does Obama want to keep open borders?

The fed gov't has approved up to 17.000 Nat Guard troops for the oil cleanup, but Dems are fighting against sending any troops to guard the violent, drug and crime infested border.

Is it because the leftist Open Borders crowd would see that as a step back in their political goal to make MexiAmeriCan one? Would anyone be so cynical as to put American citizens in danger to achieve their political goals?

The longer the border remains open
- The National ID card has the best chance of being implemented
- Rights have the best chance of being destroyed
- The economy stays afloat in a few states that rely on paperwork-free workers
- Criminals created by the war on drugs can flow across the border to add fuel to the calls for expanded police state
- Government can call for larger and larger budgets for border issues
- Government can call for larger and larger budgets for welfare issues

Remember, government benefits from inefficiency - the exact opposite of non-government individuals. The more inefficient, the larger the call for budget increases. Efficiency on the part of government leads to a stand still in the calls for budget increases. There is no benefit to the politicians to stop illegal immigration, especially when any blame directed towards them can easily be deflected towards someone else.

I think the idea that this is simply over votes over simplifies things and acts as a major party sided distraction, when the real problem is both wings and their ability to create problems that then create trillion dollar 'solutions'. They tolerate the complaints of them allowing illegal immigration, and in the long run, government benefits as a result.
