The original Cat Woman.....Black or white?
My homie was telling me that cat woman is originally African American(Black) and he is black too and I told him she was white but im Latino and that he was thinking of the actress that died today (Eartha Kitt) but in the comic she was white than he showed me a year (i think) 2003 comic and she was black but I have a newer one were she is white....she just delivered her baby.
Now me and him are gonna read what you guys think....he doesnt believe wikki....
He made me put that he was black and i am latino cause he thinks you will go on his side cause he says people cant be mean to blacks because itll be racist and he is retarted.....
Eartha Kitt did play Catwoman in the 1960's tv show batman with Adam West but she wasn't the original Catwoman.
Julie Newmar did 14 episodes from '66-'68
Also the 1966 movie Batman with Lee Meriwether (former miss america) as Catwoman. (remember her from Barnaby Jones)
Eartha Kitt did 3 episodes in '67-'68. So, she was Catwoman for awhile.
I use to love that show when I was a kid..ha ha.

Maybe this will settle it. The original Cat woman (alias selina Kyle) originally first appeared in the spring 1940 Batman comic book. Here's a picture of her out of costume, circa 1940.
