What are some pros and cons of buying now vs later?
My horse is currently for sale to an awesome eventing home and he'll be gone by the end of the month.
I found a fabulous yearling with really good gaits that I think would be a great partner to go through dressage with me. By the time he's ready to be started my kids will be in school and I'll have plenty of time.
Aside from this specific horse, what are some benefits of buying now instead of five years from now? What would be some benefits of buying later?
There is one main benefit that I see from buying now. Since the economy is bad right now, horses are selling for cheaper because not many people can buy $50,000 dollar horses. If you buy in 5 years, the economy could go up, as well as the price of horses.
