Romel Reins
What's the difference between romel reins and regular Split Reins?
I see a lot of reiners use Romal Reins and I also plan to pursue reining this year through 4-H and they allow them. Are they easy to use than split reins? Are they better to use for reining than regular split reins? What exactly are they?
I dont think ive ever seen romel used in reining, but maybe its the style now. they do reining alot at my barn and use the split reins.
the only reason i would see using romel is because you can hold 2 hands on the reins, if you have to fix your horse its less noticeable, and it also gives you a place to lay your other hand if you find yourself laying it in odd places. but thats for Western Pleasure more then anything, i really dont think theres that big of a problem in reining...i could be wrong
