Roughout Western
What do you think about this saddle (Western, CO Saddlery)?
I bought a saddle almost exactly like this one (mine is full roughout but the darker color of the two) about a year ago. I absolulty love it, but want to get opinions from different people on it if possible. The only problem that I have with it, is that the stirrups REFUSE to turn/give. I have set it with a broom and everything, still no luck. Oh, and after a year of hard use and lots of riding, it still squeaks. Talk about annoying. Other than the breaking in of the saddle, its pretty good.
Oh, id also like to see what people would pay for it. Just a personal opinion going by the info givin in the link and by myself. Ill tell you what I paid for it after a few responses lol. Thanks!

It looks like an overall pretty good saddle. You could oil it good to stop the squeaking and to get the stirrups to give a little. You can find some in almost any tack store. I think maybe even in Fleet Farm. Just use a soft rag and dab it onto the leather and work it in everywhere! This will help the squeaking! If you're having problems with the stirrups then do them really good. Don't worry about putting too much on your saddle. If you have a good kind that you trust, then it should be fine. If you're concerned about it though, try dabbing a little bit of the oil onto a place where you can't see it like on the back of the stirrup. Your saddle might get a couple shades darker, but it's barely noticeable and it still looks natural. In the mean time, keep up with the broom. Anything Helps!
