What does it take to be able to compete in Lousiville's World Championship Horse Show (for Saddle Seat riders)?
I know these are the best of the best saddlebreds, etc. But are there certain shows you need to win or so many points you need? And if you've ever ridden in it, how long did it take you to get there from when you first started?

I don't mean to but into your life but how old are you? If you are under the age of 18 you will probably go to academy shows. Academy shows are just like practice shows. There are around 3-4 people in your class. You still get ribbons and you still have to wear show clothes. You probably won't go to shows right away though. I waited a year after starting to ride to show. And if you have been ridding hunt or western it is a pretty bg change in position and stuff. I am sure there are a certain amount of points you need to get there. I don't know much about points because I have only gone to two shows. I know the number of points you get is based in what place you get and he number of people in your class. I am sorry I can't answer your question better, but I don't have experiance in the big shows.
