What are the best Hiking Shorts for Philmont?

I leave for Philmont tomorrow @ 8:30 CST. I was packing and started to question my judgement on my shorts.
The current shorts I have are Magellan Brand 30% Nylon 70%Cotton. And Cotton Kills….

So would the Mesh Athletic shorts be a better bet?
